Edinburgh

In 2017 I visited Edinburgh on my way to the highlands, but, with some terribly cold and rainy November, I found myself changing my itinerary from time in the highlands, to time in this cozy. Four words pop into my head – love at first sight. As a photographer, Edinburgh is paradise. Walking past the stone buildings, it gives a very good mental picture of what things would have been like a few centuries ago as well as the obvious modern-day eye candy.

This spring, my mom had mentioned that she wanted to go on a vacation in late summer or early fall, and had thrown around ideas of visiting Ireland. Me being a geography student and remembering the great time I had in Edinburgh, I tossed around the idea of going to Scotland as well. I figured Scotland would be just as stunning, and surely we could find some cheap Ryanair flights. My mom was on board, and this made me very happy. I was excited about returning to Edinburgh as well as exploring more of Scotland.

Edinburgh cracks my top 5 favourite places. Architecture, history, culture, locals, food, and drink (obviously) are all top class.

If these photos don’t sell you on Edinburgh, I don’t know what more I can possibly do to change your mind.
